OLIVIA RUBINI SET TO RELEASE DEBUT LP SILHOUETTES JANUARY 29TH 

SILHOUETTES TAKES THE LISTENER ON AN EMOTIONAL, AUTHENTIC, HEALING AND ULTIMATELY TRIUMPHANT JOURNEY OF SELF-DISCOVERY THROUGH SONG 

Philadelphia, PA – Twenty-one-year-old singer-songwriter, Olivia Rubini will release her debut LP, Silhouettes on January 29th. Produced by Ritchie Rubini (The Caulfields, co-writing credits include releases on Wind-up, A&M, Sony/BMG and Hollywood Records), the ten original songs on the album feature lush arrangements, were penned by Olivia and document an emotional journey following the end of a significant, impactful relationship. “Silhouettes is about taking a not so beautiful love story and making something beautiful from it,” says the singer. 

“With this album, I was fully immersed in every aspect of every song and I maintained detailed involvement at every intermittent stage of production,” says Olivia. “I had a very specific vision for the album as a whole and the individual songs that created an exceedingly personal storyline, so the desire to pinpoint every detail was intense for me. Overall, the album was far more personal than my previous releases; they are my lyrics, my emotions, and my personal story, which made me want to bring as much life to the words as possible. The writing process for a lot of these songs was also a different experience in comparison to my previous releases since I fully wrote a majority of the songs on the album. The collabs on this record were also much more immersive and equal than previous collaborations, which was an awesome aspect of the creative process.” 

Opening with the ethereal and pensive, “Daydream,” Olivia finds herself struggling with self- doubt, questioning her own responsibility in the relationship’s demise and longing to be desired. In “Never Call Me, But Call Me,” Olivia’s lyrics are brimming with catchy wit, while the chorus encapsulates the energy of wanting to be over a person/relationship, but still having the need to be desired by them -- a sassy and amusing contradiction. “Little Tiny Stars” is an acoustic, romantic escapist ballad while “Just Around,” is an upbeat, groovy, cheeky reminder to the subject, that they were “just around,” and she can move on to her next relationship easily. “Last Time” is a sweeping piano ballad, with a heart-rendering and vulnerable lyrical performance, giving the listener a genuine glance into the life of the performer. The sparse “Fuzzy” finds the songwriter – despite some uncertainty and confusing -- not dissatisfied, only seeking answers. 

The haunting piano of “Before” finds Olivia facing the failed relationship head on and sitting with her grief. In her acceptance of the end of the relationship, Olivia offers the upbeat “Be Well,” and embraces the release of this toxic situation and celebrates the empowerment of moving forward. “Days In The Dark” is a lo fi and sincere goodbye, wishing her former partner well and fully letting them go. “Worth My While” concludes the album with a triumphant ending, overflowing with exhilaration, idealism, and confidence for the future. 

“I’ve grown immensely in all aspects throughout the process of creating this album,” says Olivia. “I wrote a majority of the lyrics throughout the album - sad songs, sassy songs, romantic songs, triumphant songs. I think I somewhat proved to myself that I have a writing range I didn’t know I had - my writing abilities have grown as I have written more songs, of course. I sort of grew into myself and discovered new cadences, word choices, and attitudes that I hadn’t previously explored, and with this new sense of exploration and maturity, I found what works for me and what “defines” me as an artist, which was an eye-opening experience. The creative process was just so wonderful from start to finish with Silhouettes and I learned a lot about myself as a writer and a performer - I think the creation of this record really catapulted my growth as an artist and I’m endlessly grateful for that opportunity.” 

While Silhouettes is Olivia’s first full length release, the Delaware native is no stranger to creating music. She’s been releasing songs since she was fifteen and has release ten singles since 2015. Her song “To You (Remix)” received over 150,000 plays on Spotify and her style throughout the years has evolved and transformed into a deeply personal reflection of her life and growth.
